I never thought in a million years that I would be a middle school teacher, especially at the middle school that I attended. I always thought I wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher. Thank the good Lord that He had another plan for me.  He knew exactly what I needed and what would make me happy.  I love teaching middle school!

The other loves of my life include my husband, Josh, and my two children, Madison and Merritt.  My daughter, Madison, is 4 years old and Merritt, my son,  is 8 months old. 

I am a native of Mitchell County and attended Gouge Elementary School, Bowman Middle School, and Mitchell High School. Athletics have always been an important part of my school career.  They lead me to Mount Olive College, where I obtained my teaching degree. I also attended East Carolina for further education.
